9th Floor and Fuzzy Tummy Greetings

Filed under: Uncategorized — scottnelson @ 2:19 pm

The humor greeting card industry has always been and will always be my favorite market.  As much as I love writing and illustrating children’s books as well as drawing caricature illustrations, there is something  soul-stirring for me about the simplistic greeting card.

Back in the mid 199o’s another cartoonist and I merged our creativity for this paper product and sold 9th Floor Greetings and Fuzzy Tummy cards to the publisher Dickens.  Although the line didn’t last long due to marketing issues, I’ve never been so proud then the day I went into a paper store in Staten Island New York and saw an entire isle filled with our humorous and whimsical cards.  Hundreds of  crazy looking dogs, cats, funny old lady characters and even some photo cards.   So although the market has slow, I thought I’d kick my butt in gear  by revisiting some of my glory days in this post.
